Columbia River Water Blessing 6/19/18 at 7PM




 Bring your voice to bless and give thanks to the Columbia River in a brief sacred ceremony.

Come join us on the Columbia River shore Tuesday June 19. We will be sailing out of Hayden Bay Marina tomorrow at 7. we'll see you at the curved beach where the cottonwoods sing just across from the marina. The gong and the crystal bowls will be singing.

The shore is akin to the Mother Moon. 
The island from which we sail is akin to Avalon. 
The boat and her cargo of blessing is the Evening Star. 
You, the people, are the priests and priestesses that offer love back to the Sacred River.

Ilchee Statue will be watching us.
We will meet just down river of the Ilchee Statue, 1/4 mile down river from McMenamins. On the far west end of the condos. See the photos here for the place.

Heather on the Headwaters of the Salmon River We are so grateful to our community for holding space for the Columbia River, for admiring her, for remembering her beauty and power, for caring for her. We took the water you blessed to three of the Great River’s sources. We asked that your prayers and intentions would be carried through the entire course of the river system Here are a few photos. The first source was at the inlet of Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. It was at the creek where thousands of salmon once came only fifty years ago. Now it numbers in the hundreds. Once in the 1980s only one fish came back to spawn. So there is some hope in the midst of such loss. A Circle of Blessing on Fish Hook Creek, Redfish Lake, Idaho The second source was the Wood River which heads from the mountains of Idaho into the Snake River Plain, after meandering through Magic Reservoir.
