Heather on the Headwaters of the Salmon River We are so grateful to our community for holding space for the Columbia River, for admiring her, for remembering her beauty and power, for caring for her. We took the water you blessed to three of the Great River’s sources. We asked that your prayers and intentions would be carried through the entire course of the river system Here are a few photos. The first source was at the inlet of Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. It was at the creek where thousands of salmon once came only fifty years ago. Now it numbers in the hundreds. Once in the 1980s only one fish came back to spawn. So there is some hope in the midst of such loss.
